As part of the fundraising for 2007, over £5000 has been donated to a range of charities. This includes £1,500 for the Sheffield Leukaemia and Blood Disorders Appeal, £1,000 for Cancer Research U.K., £1,000 for the Brian Wyers Memorial Fund which is currently raising money for Trinity Palliative Care Services, £500 to the The Phoenix Association, £500 to St. Luke’s Church, Lodge Moor for local charitable work, £300 for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, £200 for the David Clover organisation as well as a number of smaller donations.

The programme for the Christmas Musical Cavalcade on Sunday 7th December is now taking shape. The priority booking period has now ended and tickets are only available from Sheffield City Hall Box Office on 0114 2789789.

If you have a City Hall Brochure for this autumn, you may notice that the Christmas Musical Cavalcade is not in the brochure. Please do not be concerned. Whilst it was originally an oversight, the popularity of the concerts is such that the extra publicity was not thought necessary.

Unfortunately, it has not been possible to organise a "Come Dancing, Sheffield" ballroom dancing event for the summer. The next dance should be in February, 2009.
