·Keith and Mrs. Roe presenting money to charity

Sadly, Derek Dooley, on the left, passed away on 5th March, 2008. He was a popular guest at Fellowship Concerts and Keith wrote a tribute to Derek for the concert on 11th May. It was always in Keith's plans to write an arrangement of "You'll Never Walk Alone" to finish the first half. In recognition of Derek's life and influence, he scripted a few thoughtful words about Derek, spoken over an extended introduction to the song. Richard Caborn, M.P., and Graham Moore, Westfield Health, read at the evening and matinee performances. Derek was a very popular figure in Sheffield and was a significant role model for anyone facing and overcoming adversity to make good of their life. He was always pleasant and cheerful and the tribute in the concert was a very uplifting occasion. Gary sang New York! New York!, one of Derek's favourites, to finish the concert.
